Go to: http://gur.in/ then select "Registry Tweaks" in the left column, then select "Restore Missing CD Drive". This is the popular CDGONE patch. CD drives may vanish in Windows Explorer, Device Manager, etc. This patch and a reboot usually will restore the missing drives. Many Toshiba Satellite owners have had this problem and this fixes it! Lenovo y410 MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-85JS driver free download

Hi

do you have a error message in the device manager or why do you need the drivers? all cd dvd drives work just by plugging them into the computer aslong as your windows is working properly they don't come with drivers.

please let me know if you are getting a error code and if the error code is 31, 32, 19, 39 or 41 then open up this page to get it sorted:

Matshita dvd-ram uj-831s driver missing

Hi,
please go in bios check the drive is shown there.
if shown and not showing in my computer then might be the os issue.
Go to the device manager and check any yellow question mark on the dvd/cd rom drive and if not then try following
Right click and uninstall the drive.
Go to IDE ATAPI controllers in device manager and uninstall secondary controllers or ata channel 1 from there.
Go to run option>type regedit and enter then>H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CURRENT CONTROL SET>CONTROL>CLASS>first entry starting with the 4D36 and single click on entry>on the right hand pane check for any lower or upper filter and if there delete both.

Restart the system twice then check if then also not working might be OS or drive faulty

Thanks.

Cd / dvd ram driver corrupted or missing

First if the computer is under warranty take it to get it fixed opening the case will void the warranty. if it is out of warranty consider opening the computer case your self and firmly make sure the wires are well connected. the reboot. third try downloading the driver form the manufacturer's web site. i think that brand is a Panasonic. If that still fails you might have a bad drive, which you can replace or have a local shop replace it. sites like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com have adequate replacement drives.
take a good look at reinstalling the driver. you can use the device manage for this or usually the driver form the mfg. will have an install package.

-good luck-
