Whats wrong with my color conversion?

It sopunds like you have a color convergence problem, if this is the case and the CRT tubes are ok then you are looking at about $500 to repair the TV.

When you see the a picture with missing color, but the television is capable of showing colors on screen you have a cabling problem from the device sending the picture to the TV.
If you are using component video, three separate connectors red, green, and blue, and they are all matched to correctly colored termal on each end, be sure all cables fit tight. If you are using S-video, older connection type where the cable end is a ring with four tiny metal pins plus a plastic square, one of the bins is either bent or broken. If you are unable to adjust the pins to fix the cable replace it. S-Video Cable on Amazon.com(with a picture)

open the back and look into the projectors red blue and green should be clear picture if its blurry need to change the coolant if its not on need to replace the projectors

All colors in a tv are made up of red ,blue and green,,. my projection in the menu has under setup,,just check for it,,its called conversion ,it realines the colors,, you have to do it periodicaly,or sooner if you move a projection tv,, thanks,, .it should have it,,good luck

what type cables are hooked to the dvd, check and make sure that the cables are seated properly or chang the cables , could be the dvd player also

You got a problem in horizontal alignment in blue. The IC could be defective, or if you allready replaced it you have some resistors burned in circuit. Check all resistors (should be small values 0.4-3.9 ohms and more then 0.5W) It's not big deal. You can fix it easy.

The set has 3 IC's(one for each color)strictly dedicated for the aligment of each color,if one them does not align is because is going bad or is already bad becuase picture can not be adjusted,the IC's can be identify because they are mounted on a heat sink and have the markings STK--- ---,they are all the same and need to be replaced with an exact replacement.If you are familiar with tv service you can replace them,sometimes the new ones need to be aligned from the service menu,you will need the service manual,soldering and unsoldering will be involved,If you are not too familiar be safe and seek the assistance of a servicer.

Try taping on the top and sides to see if the set reacts and the color blue returns,if it does it is likely a loose conection and the repair should not be expensive and you already know whats wrong,if you are familiar with tv service this information will give a place to start but if you are not too familiar be safe and call fos assistance from a servicer.
