If you lost windows password, you can go into safe mode (F8 when booting up) to recover windows password while you forgot user account password, but if you forgot administrator password, there is no way to...

As far as I know , there are two main methods to solve the windows password problem as follows:
1st Method:
Start system and when you see Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys twice and it'll show Classic Login box. Now type \Administrator\ (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Now press Enter and you should be able to log in Windows.
Now you can reset your account password from \Control Panel - User Accounts\.
Same thing can be done using Safe Mode. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.
2th Method:
Windows password Recovery software:
for example:Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . It is easy and convenient to use.

How to open a forget password and username on password

Step 1: Enter Safe Mode

a) Start or re-start your computer.

b) Before the Windows 7 loading screen appears, Press 'F8? to enter Advanced Boot Options.

c) Use arrows to choose 'Safe Mode' when you can see the Advanced Boot Options screen.

d) Press 'Enter' and wait for Windows 7 files to load.

e) Log on with an administrator account when you can see the log on screen

Note: Well, when you are presented with the Advanced Boot Options screen, there are 3 types of Safe Mode. They are the Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking and Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and the 3 options are all available for you. Here above we take Safe Mode as an example, but if you choose Safe Mode with Command Prompt, you'll need to input related to command prompt to reset the password.

Step 2: Reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7

Now you could diagnose and solve some serious computer problems in the safe mode and reset the forgotten Windows login password in Windows 7 as follows:

1. Click 'Start' button, input 'lusrmgr.msc' into the Search box and press 'Enter'.

2. In the 'Local Users and Groups screen', click 'Users'.

3. Right-click the account that you need to reset the password for, and then click 'Set Password'.

4. Type and confirm the new password, click 'OK'. (You can go to 'Local Users and Groups' screen by right-clicking 'Computer' to select 'Manage' on desktop.)

Step 3: Log on your password protected PC again with the new password since you have successfully performed Windows password reset for Windows 7.

Im trying to uninstall lg pc suit but everytime i try it says its still running, but i dont know how to stop it to remove it

The simplest way around this problem is to enter Safe Mode and uninstall it.

1. Restart PC
2. Press F8 until Windows Boot Menu appears.
3. Select Safe Mode
4. After Safe Mode finishes loading, press Win+R to open the Run command.
5. Type APPWIZ.CPL into the dialog box and press enter.
6. Allow Add and Remove Programs to fully load.
7. Scroll down to the LG PC Suite, select it, and then click Uninstall/Change.
8. Uninstall the program.
9. Restart computer.

If you don't want to go to the hassle of entering Safe Mode, then another option would be to open Task Manager and end any process affiliated with the LG PC Suite. Then you should be able to uninstall the program.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa.

I"ve created a password on

You can salvage your old user account by logging on as the "Administrator" user. Once you're logged in as the admin, you can reset your old user password. The Administrator user (by default) is similar to a "superuser" and has the highest access level to reset any user password.
If you don't know what your Administrator password is, you can reset that by rebooting into Safe Mode.

The best option here is to reset your account password. You can do this using either 1 of the 2 methods suggested by Microsoft Knowledge Base article #321305. In my opinion, the second method described on this page is most likely the easiest route:
Reboot Windows in Safe Mode.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK: control userpasswords2
Click the user account that you forgot the password for, and then click Reset Password.
Type a new password in both the New password and the Confirm new password boxes, and then click OK.
Good luck!
Side note: To access Safe Mode, Click Start -> Shutdown (or Turn Off), and choose 'Restart'. Once the computer restarts, press F8 repeatedly on the keyboard until a Boot Menu appear (this *must* be done before the Windows boot screen appears). Finally, choose to boot Windows in Safe Mode and press Enter on the keyboard.

Forgot vista admin password and is wondering if there is any way to fix it without downloading because I don't have another computer to burn the disc to.

Many of us are usually confronted with this problem-forget our Windows password and have no idea what to do.Now,let's get acquainted with this issue.

1.Vista allows you to create a password reset disk which enables you to reset your password without much hassle. The problem with this option is that you have to create the reset disk before the password is lost. You can find a description of how to create a password reset disk here.
http://www.blog.lostwindowspassword.com/things-about-windows-password-reset-disk/

2.Use freeware Ophcrack to reset the Windows password

It is an open-source password cracker. The technology it uses to
break Windows passwords is called "rainbow tables" and was described
by Philippe Oechslin in Making a Faster Cryptanalytic Time-Memory
Trade-Off. A rough way to describe this technique is to say that
tables of possible hashes are precomputed so that you can iteratively compare the windows hashes to precomputed bits and piece together
the hash and its value more quickly than brute-force guessing.

3.Get a commercial password reset tool
Windows Password Key 8.0 -It is considered as the best tool to reset
local administrator and user passwords on any Windows system. It creates a password recovery CD/DVD, USB Flash Drive for home, business and enterprise. And most of all, it's the most popular and safe
solution for removing your Windows password until now.

Yes, when you switch the laptop on hold down the F8 key until you see a black screen with a list of white text, one of the options will be "Safe Mode", use the arrow keys to highlight safe mode (just safe mode, not safe mode with anything) and press return. The computer will start to the welcome screen and you will see a user-name you don't normally see called "Administrator". Click on Administrator and you will find it is not password protected (in spite of the fact that the Administrator account has more access to the system than any other account!) when the administrator profile loads it will ask you if you want to continue in safe mode and you do. click start, click control panel and click on users and groups now click on your son's user account and click remove password. now click back, click on the Administrator account and click change password, the old password should be left blank and you're new Administrator password should be something at least 7 letters, numbers and special characters (!@£$%^&*) long that you can remember. Now just restart and let it start up normally, once loaded advise your son to set a password he can remember or at least write down somewhere safe.
