Hi, When i plug the power suplay the light for the charging is on.If I try to turn on the computer the charging light turns off. I removed the batery - it doesn't help. I think I have some electrical problem with some motherboard connection. My computer is Getaway, Model MX6436. My son has cleaned several times the computer with air and after that the computer has worked, but now the air doesn't help. I am from Montreal and if you now were I could fix my computer I'll thank you a lot.

    Regards

Well arogachev. You've given me nothing to go on. There could be a million reasons why you can't turn on your computer. Give me some details of what happened before this, what exactly happens when you try to turn it on, what computer it is. (Make and model.) What operating system you're running etc. I will then try my best to help you because at the moment I'd be starting with "Is it plugged in and is the plug switched on??"

Unfortunately it could still be a number of things which aren't very easy to test with a laptop. To have a computer running you need a power supply unit, a working processor that's cooled properly and working memory. (RAM). Without any of those things the computer won't start. I would advise taking your laptop to your local PC shop or one of the larger companies that do computer repairs. I can't help you out anymore without the laptop here in front of me.
Sorry I can't help anymore than this.

Computer won't turn on after trying to plug in

You never plug anything into the expansion slot whilr the computer is turned on and running. This is a sure way of damaging the motherboard.
Turn off the computer and remove the wireless adapter and then boot up your computer, if it still does not boot up then the motherboard most likely been damaged.
I suggest you take it to a computer repair shop to assess the damage and give you a repair quote.

Can't turn on power to desktop

Simple power hack, to do this, kind of like hot wiring your computer.

Turn the power on at the wall, Flick the switch on the back of the computer (if there is one on the back) to the on position, make sure the cable is plugged in, and turn the power off at the wall, hold the power switch on the front and turn the power on at the wall.

This will cause the power to jump across the switch, causing the computer so sound a bit like a motorbike being started.

The power will come on it will turn over click and go off. After this turn the switch of at the back of the computer, and turn it back on, and the computer will boot up.

The first bit of this is just charging the capacitors in the power supply, the second bit is turning your computer on.

It is stuck in power saver mode tried every thing can not get in come back up. Tried turning off and on, unpluged and pluged back in, put in cd, tried starting in safe mode with F8 key.

Possible that it's caused by a faulty hardware

1. Remove all the connection at the back of your computer
2. Power cycle your computer tower by pressing the power button for 15 seconds
3. Plug the power cord back in and monitor cable at the back of your computer tower (if it turned on, meaning that one of the device plugged at the back of your computer is the one's causing the problem, for you to pin point the problem, try plugging it one-by-one and turn on the computer each time you plug a device)
4. If it keeps on doing that, open up your computer tower (be careful to unplug the power cord and power cycle it to avoid static electricity)
5. Reseat the video card, turn on the computer again, if it's still occurring
6. Reseat the IDE/Sata cable of your hard drive and try to make sure it's properly plugged in, turn on the computer again, if it's still occurring
7. Reseat the memory, turn on the computer and test it again if the same thing
8. If you have 2 memory chip inserted in your computer tower memory slot, remove the other one and turn on the computer, do the same thing to other memory and each slot
9. Reseat the CPU and start the computer.
