Most likely a problem with the thin cable connecting the faceplate to the head unit. Had the same problem with mine. Eventually the display died. The part # for the cable is: Item - ( PWB, FLEXIBLE ), 186181112, $19.87 ea. I just received mine, now I can't figure out how to get the faceplate apart to install it.

SOURCE: black out

this is a coincedence. The CDX-M800 had a HUGE problem with the ribbon cable on the face going bad, causing this exact problem.
$14.00 and some time will put it back into perfect condition.

Hi I am Vortash your radio I take it has a removeable security face , is it the type that folds down on a slide that allows you to put the cd in behind or do you place the cd through a slot in the faciure .. if it is the afformentioned then check the connecting ribbon is not damaged and cracked stopping the opperations .. if it is the latter check that the pins on the rear of the facia are clean and undamaged .. failing that there is nothing that you can do other than try a new facia or return it to the manufactures .. If you are In the Uk and your unit is under six years old then you have rights under the consumer act to get it repaired or replaced by the shop you purchased it from even if the guarantee has expired . All goods in the uk are coverd by this act so dont let the shop tell you any diffrent .. if they dont play ball report them to trading standards and they will take up your case in law . check out and it is explained on there . If in the USA check out your consumer rights with the department of consumer trading .. hope this helps regards Vortash

You may have a problem with the front panel. There is no harm in removing the front and sending it to a service location to check. If you want to go ahead and order, then call 18005825825. They will help you order it.

How do i get my cd out its stuck when i push the eject button it dosent come out

A trick I've used several times is to hit the eject button and take another CD, put it in about 1/3 of the way, push down on the CD that's stuck inside while pulling forward, all of this while the deck is trying to eject will usually get a stubborn CD out.
