Hi, maybe you are not feeding a 5 channel program.

Use built-in test tone to check if all speakers are wired and working correctly.

PYLE PT2001X 3300 Watt Professional DJ Power.just had question about running this amp in bridged mode 4 ohms, here's some amp info 3300 watts total power bridged in 1 ch only.1650 each ch in stereo mode...

Hi,

In bridge mode the minimum load will be 8 Ohm.
If you are using 4 Ohm speakers, it will mean you will give each side of the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Thats to much for this model.

Kind regards,

Installing APX490 in a boat with 4 speakers and 1 subwoofer. The factory manual shows a diagram with each of the 4 wired to an individual channel and the subwoofer - wired to - terminal of the LF speaker...

A better solution would be
1: Get a seperate amp for the sub itself
2: Run 2 speakers on ch 1 and 2 speakers on ch 2. I assume your speakers are 4 ohms, in stereo mode that amp is stable to 2 ohms. The bridge the subwoofer on ch 3 & 4. That will work if you just want to use that amp. If you need more help you can email me @ thefowlerfam09@yahoo.com Hope this helps...

Rear Surround speakers

Best thing to do is to put the unit in 5 channel or 7 channel mode. That will send left ch information to the front left and rear left speakers ( both will get the same information). Ditto with the right channel. The center channel will get centre channel information.

If all the speakers work, go out and rent TOP GUN. ( yes its old), BUT there are a few extreme scenes , one of which is the elevator scene, where the camera changes perspective and suddenly you hear the elevator doors close BEHIND you through only the surround speakers ( have the unit in surround mode....NOT 5 or 7 ch mode ). If this works ok, then you have no problems.

Remember, surround sound only produces information in the rear channels when the information is there. To check out the digital and DTS decoders, get an action flick. If you can, get a remote too, because that will unlock many features about the receiver that you cant get to with the front panel controls. Also go to yamaha and download the owners manual ( its free !!).....that should get you going.....

best of luck...

if you have a main speaker system working properly, takea known good amp to ch2. wire the main pre amp out to amp 2 input.. turn both units on(no spkrs connected), fire it up. if the amp does not go into protect mode, turn ALL power off to the system.,connect one Spkr channel on A2, AND TURN THE VOLUME DOWN FIRS!!!!. pOWER UP THE SYSTEM AND SEE WHAT YOU GET.BE GENTLE WITH VOLUME SETTINGD! If ch 1 works, repeat procedure with ch 2 pre amp out.
