Ill aasumme that yo can see the elemnet in question, and its not a "hidden bake" elemnet located under the oven floor.. should be an easyrepair, with a little bit of patience. don trush shoudl only take 10 min anyway. TURN OFF POWER> LIVE WIRES TO ELEMENT AT ALL TIMES. REGARDLESS OF UNIT ON OR NOT!!! ther ewill be 2 screws along the bottom of the element holding the elemnt in the unit. after emoving carfully slide the old elemnt out a few inches, slowly pull out, for the wires are still attached to the back of elemnt and you want them to stay there you dont want them to disconnect and fall behind unit, (you will then need to remove the unit form the wall to access htem). so pull slowly espescially if you feel resistance in the wiring. after you getit out far enough simply unplug and plug in the new one reinstalll and you shoud be fine

I have an Electrolux EW30EW65GS7 double wall oven and want to replace the baking element for the top oven. Is this done from the front or the back. I have the part and the oven is out and on the flo

Thank you for your post, Richard Gardner!
I understand that you need to replace the element inside of your Electrolux wall oven. I was unable to locate any specific step by step instructions on the removal and installation of your element. I have attached a copy of your parts manual and that provides a breakdown of all the available parts within your wall oven. If you need further assistance I would recommend having a professional technician out to properly remove the element and install the replacement part. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

The element has blown on my Zanussi ZBF860 oven. I

You should be able to remove the element without removing the oven. Open the door and remove the back panel, normally 4 screws. This will expose the element. Then it should be 3 or so screws holding the element to the frame, remove these and slowly pull the element towards you carefully, then remove the 2 wires from behind and make sure they don't fall back into the oven as you will need to remove the back panel to get them. Then reverse process to install new element. Hope this helps.

No heat from oven although fan and light are both working

hello gavin..... Usually, when an oven won't bake, it's because the bake element is burned out. The bake element is the black, pencil- thick tube at the bottom of the oven. When the oven heats, the element glows red. This element has an expected life-span of several years. It may last for only one; it may last for many more. When the element burns out, you need to replace it.

This is an inexpensive part and relatively easy to replace. Call your local appliance store to obtain the part and the instructions on how to install it. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Bottom heating element not heating

what this simply indicate from your statement means that
The wires to the element shorted out by not being connected and to close to the metal cavity or the element need to be replace .

This should have tripped your circuit breaker.

Before resetting reconnect the old element or put in the new one then turn on power. If nothing illuminates you will need to replace the main control.

This is easy to replace but not inexpensive. You can get diagrams and illustrations at All parts come with installation instructions.

hope this help ?
thank you and thanks for using fixya.

The elements will not heat up on bake.

The problem is the Bake heating element. This is easy to check and usually inexpensive. There is a video at that will walk you thru testing and replacing. It may be a different model but the testing and replacement will be the same. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. All parts come with installation instructions. Not all models are available.

My Belling XOU179 has stopped heating up although the fan still works. I either need a base element or fan element and then install it. Can you tell me which I need and if it's possible for me to fix...

You will more than likely find it is the fan element that needs to be replaced.
It is a fairly straightforward repair, the element is behind rear cover inside oven, no instructions for fitting will be provided, remove rear cover, and you will see how the element is fixed.

Need help replacing the Broil Element in our Whirlpool Dbl Oven GBD307

It is easy to replace.   Turn power off to the oven.    Remove the screws holding the element to the inside of the oven, Carefully pull the element out of the oven liner until you can unplug the wires from the element. Hook up your new element and ease it into place and re-install screws.

You can get the part from any whirpool servicer or you can order it from Sears.
