Question about Philips 55PP9401 55" Rear Projection Television
I have Philips 55" big screen tv it powers up but you can't get any picture or sound I think it has something to do with the video selection switch(that chages it from av1 to ch a &b).
I have a Philips 55PP9401 TV where I just replaced the convergence chips, after i turned on the set the picture was still off, i started the intelisence process and after a few moments after completing this process the picture startes scrambling out then disappeared altogether.
The only thing that happens now is the LED light that is usually red and consistend just blinks and you can hear a high pitched noise in the back ground.
Some of the info i have found suggests that this model uses a Hitatch platform and should use the convergence chips that end in 160 and not the 110 numbers.
The ones i installed were supposed to be the ones that the TV originally came with which were made by Sony or is that a lie.
Any suggestions other than buying another TV.

When Replacing the (STK'S Power Pak) for this set you must use OEM parts. After market I.C. will not work!!! They will give you problems like you are discribing. D,TV
