Frigidare affinity stactable front loading dryer. runs for 10 to 15 seconds then shuts off. plenty of exhaust air. it has heat inside. tried resetting to factory specs but still have the same problem

Good Morning Percy, thank you for your inquiry!

From the information you have provided you Frigidaire dryer runs for 10 to 15 seconds and then will shut off. It sounds like it could be a possible problem with your thermostat or control panel. A reset may help with any internal miscommunications inside of your dryer. You can reset your dryer by disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes. If that does not help your issue I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform an accurate diagnosis on your dryer to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

LG Tromm DLE8377NM check filter but filter is clean

You say lint hose is disconnected. Are you referring to the exhaust vent to the outside? I would suspect this vent is clogged or a vent flapper outside may be stuck shut.

Gas lights up for about 5 minutes and then burns out. Try to turn on dryer again, but flame won't light. I let dryer sit for aout 30 minutes and turn on again - flame starts up, but will only last...

If the flame is shutting of before it reaches the operating temperatures the likely failure is a restricted venting system. There is a high limit thermostat that will cause the flame to shut off if there is a lack of airflow due to a restriction in the vent system. Remove the lint filter screen and clean in with soap and water. The filter may appear clean but it could have a clear film of fabric softener residue covering it causing a restriction in the air flow too. After cleaning the filter reinstall it before running the next test.

For testing purposes only, disconnect the dryer vent hose from the back of the dryer and put a normal load of clothes in the dryer and start the dryer. If the clothes dry in the normal amount of time that would confirm a restriction in the vent hose or the venting system. NOTE: Do not leave the vent hose disconnected after running the test. Reconnect the vent hose.

You will likely find the clothes drying in the normal amount of time indicating a restriction in the venting.

Kenmore gas dryer works but no heat, model# 110.20702990.

make sure the exhaust vent is not plugged. shut gas off, disconnect hose, start dryer. stop and reconnect hose turn gas back on and try again.
also a propane dryer can work on on natural gas but it is very dangerous to run a natural gas dryer on propane because the orfice is too big.

Dryer overheats and shuts off

I would take and get a lint brush and clean the hose and I would also make sure you clean the pipe that is running on out side plus make sure the flap is opening up outside like it should .

It starts and runs for about 20 - 30 secondds then stops

Pwolf, looks like the problem you?re having is not with the dryer. The vent line is probably clogged up, which caused the dryer to overheat. The hi limit thermostat opens up which shuts off the dryer. After it cools down and closes, you are able to restart the dryer. To make sure this is a vent problem, you can disconnect the vent hose behind the dryer and run it for one load with it disconnected. If it runs fine, then the vent line needs cleaning. Usually it needs special equipment and is very hard to do yourself. It would cost you around $90 to get a professional out to do it for you. If it doesn?t run with the hose disconnected, then you have to provide the complete model number, which is located on the door frame. back.
