Dvd ,cd worn't work

the driver should allready be installed with windows

What type of problem are you having with the drive?

Does the drive read CD's but not DVD's or niether one?

Did the drive work fine and suddenly stop reading just DVD's but still reads CD's most of the time?

Or is this a new drive that hasn't worked at all yet?

for CD use the driver should allready be installed with windows and almost never needs to be installed seperately

for DVD playback in windows XP you will need to install some sort of DVD driver into the system like power dvd or windvd or you can download DVD support for windows media player here : http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx#DVDDecoder

But I would need answers to some or at least one of the following questions before being able to help any further
