Print Date Stamp of Pictures

I cannot figure out how to get this camera to print a date stamp on the pics; does anyone know what settings to use and/or where to find this setting?

  • Anonymous May 06, 2012

Thanks for your help...but...that's the part I need help with. I can't find the documentation and I need to upload pictures of houses for mortgage companies with date stamps on them, so I'm not actually printing them; just uploading. Is there not just one setting somewhere in the camera that puts the actual date stamp in the corner of the picture like other cameras?

Like most cameras, the S2940 won't deliberately put something into the picture that wasn't there. You can use just about any photo editing program to put arbitrary text onto the image, but the camera won't do it.

The camera stores the date and time (and a lot more) with every picture in its EXIF metadata. To print this with the picture, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print. Depending on the program and printer, you may print this information on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Date stamp

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

My Kodak easyshare M530 doesn't have a "stamp date" on my setup screen. Yet it does stamp my pixes.

Are you sure? Where are you seeing the date? As far as I'm aware, the M530 can't stamp the date on the pics. It can show the date when reviewing pics, and just about any photo printing program can print the date along with the photo, but the camera won't hide anything behind the date.

Olympus D-535 Time Stamp on Pictures

By default Olympus cameras do not print the date on the images when they are downloaded to a PC. Olympus does not include this functionality because they feel that it detracts from image quality. There is a function of the camera called print order or print reservation that you can set that it will print the date on the images but this is only if you take the card to a photo processing store. However if you use the Olympus Master software and print the images that you have previously transferred there is a check box in the print setting window that you can add the date and or time to the printed image.

Time/date stamp on pictures when printing

I had the same problem. I wanted to set my Olympus C5000 Zoom to automatically date stamp photos. After going through the entire manual, I had to call Olympus directly. They told me that none of their cameras have an internal date stamp feature. They said that the date stamp lowers the quality of the picture, so they choose not to have the feature available. However, you can manually add the date and time stamp through the software that comes with the camera, just before you print the pictures. Hope that helps...

Time & Date Stamp

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every image. Any photo printing program should have an option for printing the date and time on the picture (or in the margin or even on the back if the printer is two-sided).

Date stamp

Choose the Postcard Print mode option. Make sure the date is set correctly. Choose the Date Stamp option out of the menu. It should now stamp a date.
