my laptop is sony PCG-7173L. No thing display on screen and i even cant shutdown and there is no power led on power button and no sound of fan too....i cant go to advance boot option also..Please can any body help me...
I have 3 of these laptop Pcg-61611l and all 3 are black screen on start up. Sony has a problem with this and is not saying any thing about it.
What I do is turn on laptop let the green power bottom stay on ,walk away for 10 to 15 minutes then shut it down and restart you should see the three green lights by the power bottom flash twice and then your working again . Laptop will work fine until you turn it off. Repeat to power back up.
If the invertor was faulty you would get a picture on the external monitor, assuming that the external monitor and the laptop was configured to work. Check the Fn key and F5 at the same time. That should switch between internal/ external or both displays.
First sound is stall or not stall look in device ma nager. if not stallit. and go on control panel and look speaker setting. speaker is not in mute? if you look three ting u can solve your problem. if not your hardwere/speaker is damage. thank (nepal)
IS THIS WITH BOTH AC CORD AND BATTERY
you probably need a power supply
before you run out and buy one start and press f8 then start in safemode see if the same thing happens
also make sure your AC adapter is connecting with internal connection the internal connection can become loose or bent from constant plugging and unplugging
Look for the blue FN key, hold it down (use it like a shift key)
While holding it, look for a key, also printed in blue with a picture that is half sun/half moon. On my laptop is the F8 key. As you press the key watch the screen to see if gets lighter.
