My Computer no longer 'recongnizes' my Bean

Whenever I plug in my Bean to the USB port a message pops up saying that it does not recongize what has been pluged in. When I click on the message the computer says that the device is unknown and that there are no drivers installed for it. I have been using the same computer and the same Bean all along and this problem just came out of the blue. Help!

SOURCE: mp3 player is 'dead' when disconnected from computer...

I had this problem myself. The solution is to take a fine, rigid object, like a paper clip, and use it to press the "reset" button, which is located just above the USB adapter on the device, and clearly marked.

SOURCE: unknown walkman

Downloading and installing driver from the website wont help much on this issue. It usually happens with the faulty usb port on the MP3 player or on the machine. Try connecting to another USB port on the machine. Also please check if the USB port on the machine is working fine

There are different types of USB port. For instance my computer has two types. One with a blue connector and one with a black connector. It might be that your USB ports are not suitable for that device. You need to check the specifications of the USB ports on your computer and the specifications of the MP3 player. Continuing to use the device might cause damage to the computer.

I have (2) 1.1 USB ports that says they do not reconise the divice when i plug a divice in , and (1) 2.0 USB port that does nothing but when i go into device managment and check the USB controllers it...

I would suggest two things:

1) Get a different USB device and make sure it works in the ports.

2) Make sure the USB device you want to use is recongnized on another computer. (If possible)

If you have the Vista OS that came on a USB then it is not designed to work on 1.1 USB ports but it should work on the 2.0 port.

Hello:

As i see the Computer Won't Recongnize it.

Well most likely its gonna be a Problem with the USB connection:
Try to inspect one of these:
  • Drivers Not Installed/Corrupted.
  • problem with USB Cord.
  • Problem with USB porte in PC
  • Probel with USB Plug in the Mp3 Player.

My Compaq Presario X1000 doesn't recongize my camcorder via firewire port.

It may be the problem with driver. Your OS may not contain the proper driver.Like in windows service pack 1 do not recognise some camcorders. either upgarde to service pack 2 or download proper driver from manufacturers site

There is a clip on the side that allows the usb port to pop up. Just jiggle it a bit and it will pop up.

Yellow error light on, no display

Try plugging the usb into a different computer if new hardware is not found then the printer's hardware is bad. If new hardware is found on the second computer then uninstall and reinstall the printer driver on the first computer.
