Sounds like it could be the power supply. Try changing the brightness of the screen and changing picture modes like movie or standard. If this causes the flashing to change in severity, it will most likely be the power supply board
i have a rca hd61lpw62 makes loud noise and i lose the picture still have sound tv repair man fixed it once and said he had to soilder ballist one month later doing the same thing this time he said it was the color wheel sounds like he is just guesssing you can wait a few moments and it comes back on help please
All you can do is get it repaired or replace. Take the receipt (if you still have it) to the retailer you bought it from and ask about it. Alternative, phone Samsung (number is probably in the instruction manual that came with the TV, or look on their website) and ask if they can do anything about it.
#1 When I turn on the TV the power button comes on then blinks 6 times then goes off for a few seconds then repeats the cycle. I have sound over my surround system during this time but no picture.
#2 My sound would crackle and pop every once and a while until now it does nothing. I have to watch it with the surround sound on.
