For Windows: On the bottom left of your screen, select the "Start" menu. Select "Settings" then "Control Panel". In the window that opens, select the "Sounds and Audio Devices" icon. (If you don’t see a choice called "Sounds and Audio Devices," choose the "Switch to Classic View" option in the panel on the left of the window, and the left. Select the "Audio" Tab at the top of the "Sounds and Audio Devices" control panel window. Under "Sound Playback," choose your internal sound card as the default device. This varies by computer but should not be set to "USB Audio Codec" or Under "Sound Recording," select "USB Audio Codec" for your default device. Check the box titled "Use only default devices". Click "Apply"...then "OK". Hope this helps.

The solution is probably pretty simple the codec is the format try downloading only mp3 formatted songs and they should work. Go to www.limewire.com for free downloads. use only the mps and have fun. Thanks

As it is recorded, the format may not be able to be read by itunes. You have to change the format of the recordings so that they can be played using your itunes software.

Hi,

If you are using Windows XP, pls try:

  • Goto Start, Control Panel;
  • click on Sounds and Audio Devices;
  • inside the Sounds and Audio Devices Property box, click on Audio tab;
  • on the Sound playback Default Device, select another device other than what is currently displayed or one that is not a USB;
  • click Apply, OK.
Should you be using Vista, similarly but variations on nomenclature/labels.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

I cant get sound from my turntable. How do you hook it up?

As long as you can hear the record playing in the groove of a record, by ear, then the problem is that the connection to your computer is wrong. Since this is a USB turntable it will have to plug into a USB port. So you need to check that you have connected to the right type of USB port. That the port is working. See Control Panel on a Windows Machine. That the signal level from the port is set high enough and that it isn't switched off. You might also need to check the drivers for the device are installed and up-to-date.

No sound from iTunes audio files

it sounds like EZ A C did not get the audio or EZ put it in a format tha Itunes Cant play. download VLC media player and install it. open the file with VLC and se if it will play it. It will play just about anything it has most of the codex's need to play anything too. if it doesent play it then something is wrong with the input to EZ A C you might have the input muted.

Unwanted recording overlays

Hey black fender start person, I'm genuinely sorry for sounding patronising and 'of the applemac-fool-mockery crew'. The needle-on-the-record is acting as a wall mic. I don't know about the ez software, but I'm guessing there are default settings in there somewhere, in tools/options or suchlike.
Have a look at the mic settings you might be able to apply some pleasing preset.
good luck :)

Playback Problem

They should be recording in mp3.  Then converted into ITunes using AAC.  Itunes will play MP3 format from the turntable.  The best thing to do is to record in that format, then test the files before converting them.  That way you can find out if the problem is with Itunes conversion or the turntable.

I cannot access the turntable thru my USB hub.

I received an updated driver from Numark but that still did not solve my problem. It turned out to be some sort of incompatability with my USB 2 card. When I plugged the turntable into my old USB 1 slot, my computer recognized it immediately. The new Audacity and MixMeister programs that were sent as a fix from Numark are just burning programs and not drivers for the device. I can now convert my old vinyl with ease.
