Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
Ok, my xbox is second hand and i've had for about 2 years no problems. than the other day i got E74 (i know what it is) anyways i looked up fixes and most of them said it was the X-clamp, i didn't have any thermal paste or anything like that or the x-clamp repair kit, or any screws or washers around the place so i decided i'd just bend the x-clamps just a tiny bit to put a little spring back into them, and now i get the 1 red light (e74 light) and 2 seconds later the 2 red lights (overheating) and it turns itself off. this is even with the case off and in a cold room....... any idea's???
Try the towel trick.wrap the console in 4 towels or a blanket and turn it on for 30 minutes, then let itt cool downn for about 15 minuutes.it really works.if this was helpful please leave a feedback rating
