Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Computer won't read device

I've always been able to upload songs from my computer to the MP3, but recently the computer doesn't find the device when I plug it into the USB. The connection is secure, because I still can charge the MP3 from the computer. Any help?

I tried, but it didn't work. Something popped up that said there was a new device, but Windows Media Player thinks there is no device

I just ran into exactly the same problem. It was working fine until I was loading songs into the player the last time. The player was in some kind of "hung state" and then when I tried to reboot, WMP no longer recognizes the device. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You might try to go to the settings in the device and chose the MSC usb mode instead of MTP...

I can't upload songs

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

wma files won't be read, only mp3 files, in my experience. My 512 mb SD card works, but it won't read my 8 gb SDHC card. I suspect it can't manage SDHC (high capacity) cards. I haven't tested yet, because as it turns out, neither can my computer... I think I'll fall back to a flash drive.

well if you can still connect it to your computer just format the mp3 this should work after the format just go to WMP and sync your music

4. right click on the mp3 drive

Songs on the mp3 player won't show up on the computer

In your windows media you will see the device name listed..you have to make sure the device is under MTP mode..then click on the player and you will see all the songs...you can just right click on the songs and delete them..if you dont want the device to sync automatically you can click on sync and then click on the device name and click on sync setting..there you can modify if you want it to sync automatically..
Should you have any questions..let me know..
P.S.Please rate accordingly...

The media device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected

Make sure you're not using the media with another program while you attempt to copy/sync it to your device.

Pretty late response, but meh.

How to upload songs into Sansa E250

Th device may be too full. You need at least 6MB for each GB of music on the device to create the "database" or GUI. Delete a few song, restart the device. Best of Luck.
