This kind of symptoms is an indication of out-of-regulation in the power supply board where the power cord is connected. Leaky/dried filter electrolytic capacitor in this section trigger the symptoms. It will dropped the normal working voltage and in the first stage of fault warm-up will make itself stable but the symptoms will get worst, times will come that the unit will not power up at all.
Leaky capacitor has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top or at the bottom side and can easily be identify. See sample picture of leaky electrolytic capacitor below.
Dried capacitor has no physical indication of fault, you must have a capacitor checker to determine its condition. If not available, you may replaced all electrolytic capacitor in the output of the power supply section, it will not cost you much because this is one of the cheapest parts on this board. You must replaced it with same capacitance and working voltage which is printed in its body itself. Upon installation of new capacitor, you must ensure that the polarity (negative/positive side) will be in its location before soldering to the board.
Let me know if your handy with electronics and I will guide you fixing it yourself.
I you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to isolate the faulty capacitor.
Also, check if your unit is still under warranty/extended warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free. Don't attempt to open the back cover because it will void the warranty.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
