Question about Black & Decker Leaf Hog 12-AMP Electric Blower/Vacuum #BV4000
Am I supposed to take off the suction part? My husband thinks that we might be missing something. The motor part with the suction part says Leaf Hog and the tube for the suctioning says the same. So I would guess that they go together.

Do NOT answer if you plan on charging me for the assistance.
Thank you so much.

Put the switch in the center off position. That allows you to press the big black button in the front and take the vacuum attachment off. Replace the vacuum with the blower attachment and you should them be able to blow rather than vacuum.

Your leaf blower does not have a reset button unfortunately. The motor is a double insulated design and does not have any serviceable parts, the motor heads are replaced as a complete unit. There is one thing you can check. Since the wash cloth placed a huge strain on the motor, which in turn, increased the ampere in the circuit, it may have tripped a circuit breaker in your house fuse panel, causing no power to the outlet you were using.

Try Platt Electrical supply - 800-257-5288 (Platt.com) BLACK & DECKER #89754-01 REPLACEMENT BRUSH. It seems the entire motor head was manufactured by DeWalt and is now obsolete. I don't know if these brushes will fit, but someone there may help.
