Here's a link to Lexmark's site where you can download the printer drivers:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:93:0:0

If your computer is running Windows Vista this printer may not work. At least Lexmark doesn't offer drivers for Vista. This either means it's not compatible, or that Vista doesn't need any special driver software.

I have the lexmark X63 printer and I need to use it. I need to print something and I do not have the cd to get the driver. My lexmark 2500 has stopped on me so I was trying to use this one I had before I...

Depending on the age difference between your operating system and the printer, you may get some functionality by doing this:
Power down your computer system and then connect the printer. Make sure the printer has power and is turned on.
Restart your computer.
Windows may recognize it and install the appropriate driver. Watch the lower right-hand area of your monitor during the boot. If Windows sees it at all, it will open a message box and either tell you it is installing the driver or it will tell you to insert the disk that came with it (which you don't have.)
Going to the Lexmark website, you should find downloadable installation packages for virtually any printer they ever built.
You might create a new folder prior to trying to download and give that folder as the destination for the download. Normally, you will be able to start the installation procedure from within that folder.

I have been given a lexmark x63 but there is no installtion disc. I have been told I can install from your web site

> I can install from your web site.

Well, not exactly -- here, you can get "advice", not device-drivers.

Access the manufacturer's web-site: http://support.lexmark.com
and enter 'X63' and do a search.
The result of the search will offer the device-drivers for the X63.
Download the device-driver.
Install the device-driver.

I have a Lexmark X63 printer, but it is not listed as one of the printers that is compatible with my Acer computer.

Does the computer have Windows Vista on it?

If so, that is correct. Lexmark does not have a Vista driver for the X63.

However, many people with Lexmarks (and other non-Vista supported models) have had success using Windows 2000 drivers on computers with Vista installed.

If you have Windows XP installed, or if you have Vista and want to try the Windows 2000 driver, they can both be downloaded here, directly from Lexmark:

http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?lxkprod=Lexmark+X63

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software. ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.
