SOURCE: Dish network

With the dish remote and do a code search as described in the remote manual and see if you can find it that way. If you go through the entire code search and none of them turn off the VCR/DVD combo, then there is nothing you can do, as those codes in the remote are all stored in the remote and they cannot be programed in. If you do not have a remote manual to set up the remote, to do a code search, simply go to the dishnetwork web site and search for it.

SOURCE: Emerson DVD Recorder EWR20V

Called the funai's service tech line at 1-800-605-8457. They will sell you a firmware update for 23.00 shipped that will allow it to use up to 8X DVD-RW. I'm using memorex 2X DVD-RW (RITEKW01) I got from walmart. They seem to work OK although dubbing on my deck doesn't seem to work. Probably unrelated.

SOURCE: I have a emerson dvr recorder that everytime you

Need a firmware upgrade. Emerson will charge you for it. Otherwise you need to find Dvds it will accept. Hard to do with all of the newer dvds. -RW only 1Xor 2X. -R 1X-2X. Memorex would not work for me. Multi- speed dvds over listed speeds will not work. Maxell -R 1X-4X worked for me. Good luck finding any.

Denon dvd 1940 problem. All funcion is ok, but audio impul not works? but

Check all connections from the DVD player to your amplifier/receiver and TV. Make sure the audio cables are securely connected at both ends.
Try connecting the DVD player to another amplifier/audio system using different cables to isolate if the issue is with the player or cables.
Check the audio settings on the DVD player - make sure audio output is enabled and set to an appropriate format like PCM or Bitstream. Go through the audio setup menu and reset to factory defaults.
Make sure the volume on the DVD player is turned up and not muted/very low. Try different audio tracks on a DVD movie to test.
If connected digitally via HDMI, try swapping to analog RCA connections instead. Or vice versa.
Try playing audio CDs to see if the issue only affects DVD movies or all audio.
Make sure the audio on the disks themselves are okay by testing in another player.
If there was a power surge or electrical issue, the audio circuits could have been damaged. A repair service may be needed.
As a last resort, perform a factory reset or firmware update on the DVD player.

How to transfer from dvr to dvd recorder?

A DVD recorder, not connected to a computer, only can record movies.
If you have a DVD reorder connected to your PC, you need software, like NERO, to be able to write all the different codes needed to make a DVD a playable one for movie, audio or just files. (Data)

Emerson EWR10D5 DVD Recorder/Player - using 16x DVD-R I get an error while recording

Sounds like a bad disc. You may also want to clean the laser lens with a cleaner disc just to be sure.

I can't get any sound when I put a DVD in to watch. I can see the movie. When I switch over to VHS, it works. I can see and hear the movie fine. Whats wrong with my Emerson EWR20V5?

Make sure that the DVD type matches the selected menu and the sound requirement, check with another DVD - original - to confirm.
The fault seems to be with the audio processing section with the DVD main board. The VCR has a different circuits and then connects to the preamp after processing from the audio section which is seperate. In the case of the DVD the optical processing and the DIgital/ Analogue conversion section is having issues and so the audio signals are absent.
Need to check on the main board as it can be related to the processing IC.

When recording using the VCR, the audio sounds like it's under water. Something is wrong with the audio head in recording the sound.

I can't believe people still use these things!
In any case - Everytime you play a tape, record, rewind, fast forward, etc, the tape runs over heads on your VCR. Those heads can become filthy with dust and magnetized.
What you need is a head cleaner/demagnetizer. I'm not sure where you'd find this these days, maybe radio shack?

DUBBING ONTO VHS FROM DVD

if you have two separate units, the best way is to connect s-video cable from the output of the dvd player to the input of the vcr. If not, second best is to connect the video/audio out of the dvd to the video/audio in of the vcr. Othwise the units may have a rf (75 ohm cable) output and the dvd usually sends channel 3 or channel 4 as an output when playing and the vcr must be tuned to this channel. Start the dvd, pause it, hit the vcr record button, then unpause the dvd.
