Scanned several negatives, then stopped and displayed code 22.
If 22 is blinking in the Scanner LCDThe Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA) may be attached incorrectly or is broken.
If 22 "The scanner could not scan" displays on the screen and the Transparent Materials Adapter (TMA) is being used
If 22 "The Scanner could not scan" displays on the screen and the TMA is not being used

the problem can be either of this two
1)the bulb is gone weak.
2)the motor which moves the bulb is gone weak.
and the third and the final thing its very difficult to to manually in this case still have a look.
as the rays from the bulb passes from a lens that makes a proper ray.that should be very perfect but if you have removed the bulb and reinserted that that allignment of the passing ray will have moved from its orignal position.
button once (see Figure 3 above). The TMA lamp should turn on (see Figure 4 above). If pressed a second time, the TMA lamp turns off (if TMA is detected).
NOTE:
The scanner carriage lamp should be off when the TMA lamp is on and should be on when the TMA lamp is off. The only time the TMA could not be detected is if the accessory cable is not plugged into scanner
