You might want to save your resume in rich text format (a .rtf file). This format can be opened by Microsoft's WordPad which comes with Windows and is also readable by Mac users. Or you can just save it as plain text (a .txt file) which wouldn't give anyone any trouble. Also make sure you're properly attaching the file when you create the email. I've gotten emails where somehow a shortcut to a file was attached and I couldn't open it.

There is a possibility that they don't have the same kind of program that you do. If you have Word 2007, and you're saving it in the xdoc format then they won't be able to open it using any other version of Word. I'd suggest saving it in RTF format if at all possible to maintain the highest overall level of compatibility.

I cant get in my e-mail it said i gave wrong pass word never had this problem

I would email the support folks of your email provider. Your account may have been hacked and the password changed. This can generally be corrected once they are certain you are who you say you are. I suggest you do this since your account may be getting used to spam (or defraud) everyone or anyone in your address book.

Burn Outlook Express files onto disk

You can make a copy of your .pst file which essentially holds all of your email. Do a search of your computer for *.pst. Make a copy and paste where you know you can find it. Right click the copy of the file and select send to cdrom from the drop down list. You're task bar will pop up saying you have files waiting to be written to cd. Click this windows, select burn files to cd from the left menu.

Using thunderbird mail program on lap top. can receive e-mail, but can not send e-mail on any public wi-fi connection. error message says can not connect to mail server on port 25.

most isp blocks port 25 for sending out mail that's the reason you cant send out mail, ask you wifi(ISP) smtp settings and you need to set it on your smtp server so you can send out mail using thier smtp as outgoing server.

OR ask you email provider about your webmail address and manually send out mail using the web interface of your email hosting.

btw have you try to change you smtp port to 587 sometimes it work.
