SOURCE: Cambridge Soundworks Basscube 12S only makes pulsing buzz noise

Hey! So i fixed my problem! This is for the BassCube 10
Like i said before i saw that the circut board was burnt near the diodes ZD3 & ZD4, and the resistor R63. Thanks to Deadly1 and BillRad62, i figured it out. The R63 is a 1200 resistor, and the diodes are 15v zeners. I went with 3x 5.1v zeners to replace ZD3, unfortunately Rip-Off-Shack (Radioshack) didnt have 3 packs of these so for the ZD4 i put a 12v and 5.1v. Which exceeds 15, but seems to work without a problem. Hope it helps!

SOURCE: How can I replace a

Its pretty simple actually.
If you already have the same size new tweeter. You take off of course the large felt cover so speakers are exposed on front. Just like your picture is in this post. Then you should see some screws, most likely it is going to be Phillips. Then unscrew all the screws, the whole front should slide out with of course speakers still attached, don't pull out to fast or far, to make sure the internal wires are long enough to take whole front out and set aside speaker box, the on back of speaker should be two wires going to it, maybe three if is tapped in conjunction with a ground. Anyway on back of speaker unplug the wire from speaker and then, take out screws which is normally on back of speaker, pull speaker out, put new one in and repeat steps in reverse order. Hope this helps. Mike

Control module

The connections on the control module all depends on what outputs are available on the receiver or whatever audio component you have.
Probably the most straight forward hook up is to connect the receiver's speaker (R &L) outputs to the speaker Inputs of the module, however you may have potential outputs on your receiver that could used. What I suggest is for you to provide the information on the receiver with make and exact model number so the receiver outputs can be matched to the model. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/media/i3d/01/A/man-migrate/MANUAL000030686.pdf

The link is for a system module manual, and it describes all the possible hook ups based on the outputs of the receiver. If you can provide the additional information on the receiver, I will try to asssit you further.

Soundworks 740 fuse

See my answer to cd740 sound cutting out. Fuse is inside near the transformer. You'll need to disassemble. There is a good write up for a question about getting to the faceplate. Briefly, there is a sub base that has screws hidden behind the rubber feet pads which peel off easily. The front speaker grills PPP off easily and it hides some screws. The rear plate also has to come off. Check those other questions, the answers will help.

Tower speaker subwoofer is popping

Why not just order a new woofer, unscrew the old one detach the terminals and replace with new? Then make sure your amplifier doesnt feed it any distortion to make it blow again.

I have used the sound test to check my CS 5.1 system. When I test the subwoofers, there is no sound. I have played CDs with deep bass, no sound is emitted from the subwoofers. I have T-500...

One step at a time. Get the subwoofer to work, THEN play music through it.

You don't describe the electronics, IF you have a sub defined, whatever other steps it probably needs to pass LFE to the sub.

Sony V555ES Amp:

Try setting your amp to "auto format decode".
It should easily be heard in this mode.
The sub will not show up on the display when in 5.1 mode. (Blue light on)
Use this with music, and use the 5.1 with movies to get a better experience from your amp.
The sub will work in 5.1 but doesn't show up in the display. Try movies with loud sounds.
Most of the pre-set sound fields are of no use to me. I only use normal surround, and AFD and love it. I hope this works for you!
