Question about Kodak EasyShare C340 Digital Camera
When i turn my camera on the lens will not come out. i have not dropped it nor has it has water damage, as a matter of fact i had just taken 5 pics with it before this problem occured while i was trying to download the pics onto computer. kodak wants to charge me $100 to fix and i feel ripped off. I've had the camera 4 yrs and never a prob. til today.. please help me fix it myself if at all possible.I paid too much for it already and dont want to add on with repairs.
thanks so much if you can help
This might help. My Kodak C340 crashed on me, yes just like a computer running on Windows 98. I was making a short movie for the first time and after I got done with the movie, I couldn't turn the camera off. So I open the battery compartment and then the camera went off with the lens extended. I closed the battery compartment again, but then it wouldn't come back on. The lens was still extended and the screen was still black as if it was dead. I change the batteries but nothing. I couldn't turn it on. Finally I noticed an icon of a person running on the selection knob. So, I turned the knob to that person running selection and the camera came back on. Everything is okay now. Whew! I guess that must be the reset selection. Give it a try and hope it helps.
