There have been a lot of different types of memory over the years. Please supply your make and model of PC or if it's a built PC then your motherboard make and model.

If i push the power button,i get this information: memory write/read failure at 12602000, read 6B8F608F expecting 608F608F Decreasing available memory memory address line at 12610000, read 00000000

Hi Daiel,

Hopefully this will be the problem of the system memory module or the module slot. Try with changing the memory slot of same memory module or change the entire memory module. Its very old one right, so these problems may occur due to heavy duty done by the memory modules.

Not all installed memory recognized

Open your computer and install one memory stick and try powering on the computer. Try one stick at a time to determine if you have a bad memory module or a defective memory slot on the motherboard.

Trying to add 4GB (2x2GB) of memory to my SX2800-07, what memory should I use? BestBuy recommended Corsair and it does not work, long beep heard when powered on.

Try taking the original memory out and leave the new memory in the machine. Mixing memory doesn't seem to work very well. Good luck!

My hp 5750 beeps 4 times what seems to be the problem??? thank u

This means that your memory is bad or not installed correctly. Open your pc up and remove all memory from the mother board, then dust it, place the memory back in and it should work. If you still have this problem, leave only 1 memory stick in and try starting up your pc, if your pc starts up then the other memory stick is bad and you will need to replace it, if your pc still does not start, remove the 1st memory stick and put the 2nd memory stick in its place and try booting once again. If this still does not fix it, then the memory slots might be bad, try putting the memory sticks in different memory slots and each time try booting your pc. If this does not work, try buying new ram, worst case scenario you will have to replace the motherboard. Or just replace the computer if both memory slots are bad on the motherboard, and i mean IF. Good luck!

HP/Compaq P4 2.8 GHz Desktop PC alarm is going off. my computer won't start up and there is a 'light bulb' icon that is flashing red

This is a Beep code for Memory Failure or System board failure. Mostly this should be due to RAM ( System Memory ) failure. Try reseating the Memory.
There will be two Memory modules in the system, try booting with only memory module and if it works. the swapping of memory does not help, the system board must be faulty.

I cant boot up my computer(memory address line failure)

This is clearly a problem with the memory. You can try two things:

1) Remove and reseat the memory sticks (with the unit unplugged)
2) Swap the boards around. Windows is not very tolerant of errors in the lower portion of memory. Swapping around the boards will change the relationship of physical memory addresses to virtual addresses. At the very least, the memory swap may help to determine which memory stick is defective.

Please keep us posted.

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? Friend to give you more memory on your pc. Try to look at memory bank/memory slot inside your pc.then try to see the label the capacity of the memory 256, 512 or 1g. there are two types of memory being used the sodim and the DDR, DDR2. they have different frequency 400 for most P4 667 or higher for latest pc. to be sure just try to remove one memory then bring it to the store whre you buy the memory let them see the frequency and the brand of the memory you are bringing. because brand and frequency is needed for compatibilty. ok. good luck bro.pleas vote me so that i will know if i helped you.

Memory reads 128 mb vs 512 mb when new memory installed

Reseat the memory and try rebooting the pc,If it still shows 128mb then take out the 128mb memory and leave in the new one.If the PC does not boot or gives you beep codes then the new memory is faulty.
