oops sorry! for a sec I mistook for a CPU's.

I checked u'r drive on amazon and it seems it uses a standard DVD RW drive as used in PC's, I think U can take it out from the recorder and Install it in a PC and check the drive for problem using nero. Or u can ge t new DVD RW ( a latest one ) check ffor the jumper settings and put in the recorder and it will fix ur problem

Recorded GoVideo DVD-R will NOT play in any other DVD player

most dvd players have a region code and you must know what code yours is in, oryou can't play any dvd's, try and find your dvd code,by the way you can only change the code ,think it is 5 times , then it will stay in that code and cannot be changed.

Trying to copy VHS to Disc-Says"Unknown disc"

Hi,

how long have you been using the player and has it ever accept blank DVD-R discs in the past.

The problem might be as a result of weak laser (lens) or the blank discs inserted might not be compatible with player.

When the laser(lens) of a player becomes weak, it will not be able to read blank discs. It only takes a very strong laser to read/accept blank discs. If it happens that the laser (lens) is the cause of the problem, then it means you will need to replace the laser (lens) to a brand new one to be able to read blank disc. Though the player might be playing DVD and CD, note that blank disc is stronger when it comes to reading from the laser (lens), it requires sharper laser. I hope you understand this.

So, insert a CD into the player and observe if it will play.If it plays, then its obvious that your laser is very weak.

Concerning the incompatibility issue, I hope you are aware that there are various kinds of empty DVD discs such as DVD +, DVD -, DVD RW. Try any of this empty DVD discs as one of them as to be compatible with this DVD recorder.

Amongst the two topics discussed above, one has to be the cause of the problem. So its up to you to figure out which is the cause of the problem.

I hope you understand the above....

I wish you good luck.

DVD unable to play tv recorded items

If you can see recording on the flip side..it is either a disc patch fix (software) obtained thru Go Video..or find another go video recorder to finalize it..you might try unplugging the unit for a minute or two..and try it again...
