Roxio easy cd & dvd creator will not install on windows vista

Roxio 9, Roxio Creator 9 and Roxio Creator 10 are different animals. Roxio 9 is 3 years old +. It likely will not handle 64bit or Windows 7.
Roxio Creater 9 is not listed as compatible with Windows 7

Yes, Roxio Easy CD is not compatible with Windows Vista. You either need to remove windows Vista and install Windows XP, or purchase the newest, latest copy of Roxio.

Previous versions of Roxio or Sonic branded software that are not listed below as Vista compatible may run into compatibility issues. The following Roxio applications that work with Windows Vista are:

Easy Media Creator 9 and above
WinOnCD 9 and above
Easy CD & DVD Burning ("Vista Compatible" labeled boxes only) 
RecordNow 9 and above
MyDVD 9 and above

What have you tried to install the software. I have found that many software CD's or DVD's need to simply be opened by right-clicking on the drive's icon and selecting the 'Explore' option. When the disc icons are shown, select the Setup.exe or Autorun.exe and the software will install. If after installing the software doesn't run, try running it in compatibillity mode for Windows XP.

Easy Media Creator 7 is not supported on Vista. Easy Media Creator 9 and above are only supported. Anything lower may be able to go onto Vista, but Tech Support is not going to be able to assist you if you have problems.

1. Try to launch Creator Classic to see if it can repair the engine files. a. Double click on the "Roxio Easy Media Creator Home" icon. b. Click "Creator Classic" under the "Applications" section. c. The Windows installer should launch and ask you to insert your installation disc

There may be no driver required for vista for the USB access to the camera.

However one of the manuals indicate Roxio may provide updates for photosuite. No assurances there are that either link to provided software is applicable to your version however generally updaters will not update the incorrect software. There is also no notation that these are or are not Vista Compatible.

To find the version of PhotoSuite that you have installed first open PhotoSuite and then Go To "Help" and then to "About Roxio PhotoSuite", once the About box opens you will find the version at the bottom center.
