Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I have a problem with some new Wharfedale speakers I have recently purchased. I have an Acer Aspire M1630 desktop computer with Window Vista operating system. Once I attached the speakers to the computer, and tested them, it showed they were working but no sound came out. I then checked the device manager and it showed a dialogue box saying that the driver software for the system speakers didn't exist - so I clicked 'update driver software', it searched the internet for a few seconds and said that it was all up to date, depsite having no sound. Please help! :(

If your tv is putting out mono you will only get the center and sub speakers. This can be because the tv is only mono, or the output is set to mono in a menu of the tv. If you have cable or sat run the digital audio out to you receiver; it usually sound better that way anyhow. Set your receiver to Dolby mode for best sound.

SOURCE: DURABRAND 2.0 CH USB COMPUTER SPEAKERS

I recently purchased Durabrand 2.0 CH USB computer speakers at Wal-Mart. When I hooked them up to my computer all I got was a sound like a scratchy sound. My computer does not have internal speakers and may not have a sound driver installed either. This is a company computer so I can't do alot of downloading. So what or is there a best way for me to get my new speakers up and running.

You probably can install Windows 7. You will have to go to Acer's site to get any special drivers, But to start, just insert the system disk and do a fresh install.

Sound is not comming when i change window XP from window vista

Your PC requires a more recent soundcard device driver that is compatible with Windows Vista.

You can download the required driver here-

http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/desktop/aspire_t180.html#driver

Please be aware that there is a different driver for Microsoft vista sp1 and above as opposed to Microsoft Vista. SP means service Pack which is a combination of updates supplied by Microsoft to make your operating system more reliable, secure etc.

If you do not know whether you have SP 1 installed, click on the start menu, right click on the computer and click on properties. Your Windows operating system is now described in the top of the window. It will say something like Microsoft Vista or Microsoft Vista SP1.
