Camera Screen Goes Blank

tap or hit the cybershot logo. It fixed my white screen. I didnt think it would work but sure enough. My camera is working like new.

I had a white screen and tapped the logo and it worked. Surely this is a problem Sony should get a grip of!

The LCD connector -Flexible has to be pulled out and reconnected after cleaning.Use a good Tweezers so that the film does not get damaged.
If this does not improve,and if the images are ok. after you connect to a PC,the LCD display has to be replaced.

It could be simply a loose LCD screen connector which would be under $100 from an independent repair shop. Or it might be a defective CCD which is a FREE warranty repair by Sony. I think a gentle tap near the LCd casing might clear the problem.

Just had the same problem with the picture and I tapped the front by the cyber shot logo and good as new. Thanks so much for who ever posted that great info!
