Question about Combination Televisions
We have a Bush TV, model number RF6685VPL/A. We switched it on thismorning and the colours have all gone strange, with everything variousshades of pink, green and blue. It also looks as if there is haloeffect around the outside of the screen.
We have changed the scartlead to the freeview box and it is no different. It has also beenturned off, left for a few hours and turned back on again but it isstill the same. It went all of a sudden this morning and has not gotany worse or any better.
Please help! Thanks
It seems that it is a degaussing problem. TV sets have a degaussing coil that when the TV is turned on , it automatically demagnetizes the screen. Never place any speakers or anything magnetic near or on top of your set. if you see swirls of color and like you say, wierd colors, it is that the screen is magnetized. Turn it on and off with the switch. Not the remote control. The degaussing coil only works by manually turn the switch on and off.

I got the same tv and the same problem. What i have done is get a soldering iron, switch it on and the tv then go round the screen with it and you will see the colours start to shift about, it hasnt totaly solved it but has improved it a great deal. Don't put the hot tip on the screen though, just hold it sideways on next to the screen.
