Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Sanza e260(4GB) w/ multiple problems

I have had my player for about 2 months now and i think i may have put a corrupted file on it because now whenever i try to format it my computer tells me that it was unable to complete the format, so i manually took off all the files that were on there and have a blank mp3 player, i followed some of the advice given in this site about syncing my player to WMP and formatting that way but it still shows the files i was unable to get rid of during my manual deletion. My player also has a problem staying connected to my computer, every now and again it will restart without me doing anything except trying to delete files or the player restarts after adding 1 file. And the last problem i have consists of the player not seeing any files i put on it when i disconnect it from my computer, i can see them with player connected but when disconnected i can't see them in the music list. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

Sansa Recovery Tool may be key:
These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

connect your mp3 player to computer using data cable
at computer your mp3 player will displayed as removable disk
then open windows explorer, open removable disk drive
and you can delete file at your mp3 player

Hi i have the latest sanza fuse i put 50 songs on it and can see them when it is connected to the laptop but when disconnected it only shows 10 songs how do i find the other music i have downloaded?


Are all the music files you copied onto the MP3 player are in mp3 file format?
If not the player may be displaying only the mp3 music files.

Can't load music onto my SanDisk Sanza Fuze Mp3 player


Itunes is what is known as proprietary software.
Which basically means that it only works with hardware of the same brand. (Apple- Ipod)
You will not be able Itunes to load mp3 files on a Sansa MP3 player.

My sanza isn't reading any songs that i put on there anymore. I tried to delete the songs but it didn't work. so i tried to format it so i can free up all the space but it said format cannot be completed....


Okay are you talking about the internal memory or the SD disc?
If it is internal memory you could try a reset = Press and hold for 20 seconds the ON and PLAY (>||) buttons at the same time.
or
If it is the SD did you upgrade your Sanza to support Slot Radio? Slot radio does not use a file structure supported by Windows computer system.

Try going to the SanDisk website and download the drivers and run the install from their site. Then you don't need the small CD disc.

i bought a mp4 player 2 months ago through net when i brought theplayer it was working fine but now it has totally changed its keys arenot working properly and earphone socket also not working properly .When I [put my earphonesinto my mp4 u have 2 fiddle alote to get them in right so I can here...and also the earphones are working fine with other mp3 and mp4 playerso i don't think there is any problem in earphones

I think I accidently added a corrupted file and now I cant access my music


yup... you put a corrupted file on mp3 player... and now mp3 player complains that something is corrupted. It's all the virus's fault. o.O

Reformat your MP3 player.

it sounds like you need to get a new battery. Your current battery might be strong enough to light the screen but not strong enough to launch the song. Thats only thing i can think of. Hope this helps! :-) please tell me if it does!
