What graphics card should i use to upgrade my hp pavilion p6530f?

it partially depends on what you are looking for a new video card to do, games movies, 3d graphics rendering and on the price you want to pay. Likely you have integrated video which will probably be Intel Graphics based and your choices come down to either Radeon or Nvidia. There are a ton of products out there, with the I3 processor you have I would not invest in the latest and greatest because the rest of your system would be lagging behind. I have been running a EVGA GTX660 card for about 2 years and I have been quite happy. I play a few games and I have a TV hooked up to the HDMI connector for watching movies.

Videl and game lag

Hi. After looking at the specs of your tower, the Celeron cpu you have runs at a slow 533 MHz FSB speed and is a single core processor. The good news is that your motherboard is designed to handle an intel Pentium D Dual Core CPU 900 series. Your motherboard uses a type Socket T plug (CPU Plug type). The processors name is The Pentium D 920. Have Fun.

My games are automatically set to "Low" graphics settings, and lag very much when I set them on higher settings manually, which is absolutely dissappointing.

Well the problem is Sir that your system components are not capable of running the games your playing at the graphics settings you are trying to run. That being said you can update your graphics driver which will help some but sadly will most likely not solve the problem as it is a hardware problem not a software problem. Sounds like you like the eye candy that all the new games have you best bet is to find the happy medium between quality and performance, but if everything is set to low automatically then that is telling you that is what your system is capable of. It is possible that if you bought this system used that someone did a reinstall of windows and did not reinstall the proper graphics drivers, it is possible that updating the drivers will help tremendously, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. Hope this helps

Lag in Chefville

OMG all of you are WRONG, it is ZYNGA. NOT the dudes system (eyeroll) YES ZYNGA lags on CHEFVILLE whenever you request anything. NOT posting but, requesting. I bought my computer brand new, a samsung, from the box Windows 8 and 64 bit, and it STILL lags when sending requests through CHEFVILLE, from the minute I ran the game and it does it through the library computers, and my friends laptops. So really your "helpful advice" is a bunch of hogwash!

My computer keep going of when i play games and watch movies i try'ed we video cards and it does the same thing am running windows 7 if it goes not go of it will just stick and i cant do nutting else but...

I think it is got to do with overheating, known as CPU throttling where the CPU slows down or shuts your computer suddenly off. It is all explained in my guide entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

Windows 7 does need a lot of RAM and I recommend a Dual core CPU of nothing less than 2.0GHz.
As far as gaming goes set the detail down so that it can cope better and give you more Frames Per Second.

Codecs problem!

Try installing the K-Lite codec pack. This installs many of the required codecs for your system. It is available from: http://www.free-codecs.com/K_lite_codec_pack_download.htm. The standard version should get you covered.

My computer wont let me watch movies now. it keeps saying something about my dvd decoder wasnt installed.

if you bought the computer new or the DVD drive new , you whould have got a CD with it , most probably with something like WinDVD or something , if you have the specific CD with DVD software on it install it , as it will enable you to watch DVD's using Windows media player etc..

if you bought the computer second hand etc.. and or cant find the cd's a free solution is to download VLC media player (Download here) the only disadvantage about using this free solution is that you will have to play the DVD's through VLC you wont be able to use windows media player etc. to play DVD's as VLC does not require decoder software to play DVD's

otherwise you can purchase software such as WinDVD and this will enable you to play using your media player of choice.

Thanks!
