1 Answer

Whirlpool duet Model # ghw9400pwo ser# csr4213541 type 199 085 wt/gy Greetings: During the spin cycle the washer alarmed and a code came on the screen the letter F what does that mean? I opened the door after hitting pause thinking this would reset it and it did it finished the cycle however with the second load it did the same thing. Does F stand for filter is there a filter in the washer. We recently got 2 dogs and perhaps the dog hair has clogged the filter? Let me know your thoughts

There are no screws along the front bottom of this washer..can't figure out how to remove this lower panel without breaking it-it may not be something that is removable.

You can remove the lower access panel of unit ( 3 screws across the front bottom of unit), behond there directly in the middle of machine yuoll see large plastic turn screw. that s teh pump housing "filter cleanout". unscreww and clear all debris. be aware however if theres water in machine it will come out on you when you release teh turnscrew

Whirlpool duet ht will not agitate or spin

Front load washers don't "agitate". Did you mean it doesn't tumble during the wash cycle? I need more information. Complete model # and a more detailed description of the issue.

During wash cycle the washer stops at 11 or 12 minutes left and screen reads F . i have a frontload whirlpool duet HT

Just F on its own?
Try to clear it doing the following:
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select
DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.
Re-select cycle and select HOLD TO START. If the problem
remains, call for service.

Hope this helps comment back if you need further help,

My Duet washer doesn't run through the entire spin cycle on heavy duty setting. Clothes come out of washer, naturally,WET!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seems to spin out better on the normal cycle. spin cycle dosent...

If the drain time exceeds eight minutes, the water valves are
turned off and “F/02” is flashed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL two
times to clear the display.
NOTE: After four minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed,
then four minutes later the “F/02” error code will be
displayed.

Possible Causes / Procedure
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged
or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make
sure the pump is running.
4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
