Windows Vista? Ha Ha Ha .... Billy has the last word. If the Lexmark website has no new software you are up the creek. Have the same problem with a Cannon MPC - Vista does not play nicely with others.

Hardware twsting msg ??


Your Main Board (called a CMX) has failed. You can google
"PRINTRONIX 157450-991 PWB,CMX,V 5.5 40MHZ,EXCHANGE,P5000 "
For the part, but the part will require software either pre-loaded or you will have to get the file to load, ask about that before you purchase this or it will not work when you get it.

Cannot get software to load. looks like it is installing then says installation failed, removing software

are you installing as user with admin rights? if not you need to have admin rights to do so, that is the first thing to look at 2nd the software might be corrupt down load latest software, ggod luck

I have canon s 300 printer sr no FAYS 12715 some how it does not take paper and green and subsequent yellow light blinking

The error "CC025" appears [DCP-115C]


first uninstall the MFL Pro Suite & all the componants, shut down and restart system fresh install MFL Pro Suite fro the original CD supplied.

15 Volt CTL fail


Hi Serap,

If a fault condition occurs in the printer, the status indicator on the control panel flashes on and off, and the message display indicates the specific fault.

For the operator-correctable faults, After correcting the displayed fault, press the CLEAR key to clear the error message and status indicator and resume printing. If the fault message reappears, contact your authorized service representative.
If a fault is not correctable by the operator, you may try two steps to clear the fault before calling your authorized service representative:

1. Set the printer power switch to O (Off), wait 15 seconds, then turn the printer on again. Run your print job again. If the message does not appear, it was a false indication and no further attention is required.

2. If the message reappears, press the CLEAR key. If the message disappears, it was a false indication and no further attention is required. If the message reappears, call your authorized service representative at 1-800-243-3338.

As far as software for the flash file is concerned , I have checked with their officaial sites , but they donot have any firmware updates.

The IBM 6400 printer uses internal programming software that is specific to the printer based on installed interfaces and graphics options. This software resides in flash memory and when the printer is first powered on the software is executed. During this process it initializes the various processors on the controller board, initializes the optional interface cards, and then loads the necessary operating settings into dram. If the programming software becomes corrupt it will fail during startup, giving you the DC Program not valid error or a number of other error messages. The solution to this is a reflash of the printer. Unfortunately, the flash software is proprietary to IBM and they will not distribute it to anybody. The only way to get the printer reflashed is by calling IBM and having one of their engineers reflash the printer.

Try download he right software for your OS from HP.com, typically software issue. Be sure to choose the right language for your full software solution, get fatal error when trying to install software with wrong language support.

Will not load toolbox when clicking service tab


It's suggested to un-install the software & reinstall. Follow these instructions. Some files are corrupt & need to be re-installed.

Disconnect the USB cable from the printer only.
Insert the printer CD.
When prompted, click Remove and wait for the software to un-install.
Click, Finish to complete the un-install process.
Click, Yes when prompted to restart Windows.
Windows needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
Wait for system to fully finish loading.
Do not plug in the USB cable until instructed to do so.
Load the HP printer CD. Follow CD's instruction for install.
When completed re-start the system even if the software
has not instructed you to.
Check if the service tab function?
