Question about Computers & Internet
The jumper on the motherboard is for BIOS and hardware passwords not OS passwords.
tap F8 while booting up and go to safe mode.
Log in as Administrator. Hopefully nobody put a password for this account.
You can log into windows with this and remove her password.
Edit the password with a Bootable CD.
You can visit this site, http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html
go to download section and create a bootable CD...
Follow the instructions to create the cd.
It's looks overwhelming but you can reset, clear, and change the password outside of vista.
At the welcome screen after Vista Boots..
Hit CTRL+ALT+DEL three times till you see a login screen.
Type Administrator as login
and hope there's no password (unless someone has created one for the administrator account)
Best wishes.. #3 works great if the hard drive is in good condition and you follow the default settings and just hit enter.
All else fails. Pull the hard drive.. have someone recover the data.. then reinstall Vista from the recovery software and start over.

Inside the case, on the motherboard is a password jumper. Remove the jumper, reboot the computer. That should erase all O/S passwords. The jumper should be labeled in tiny letters PWD or something similar.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
