Ok, all three lights is a hardware problem - this is usually related to CPU problems in the machine but can also be a sign of MB faults too - first up - remove and replace the ram - both sticks - one under the kb and the one in the bottom cavity too - if this doesnt work - i suggest either taking it in for checkup to a qualified service centre or if your feeling confident then remove the palmrest and heatsink, unlock and reseat the cpu and then try starting again

cheers

Probably. Look for a replacement battery on eBay. I have threee d600s and about a year ago I bought aftermarket batteries on eBay that work fine for about 1/3 the cost of a genuine Dell.

Hi

from what you are describing it sounds like one of 2 things

1) The cpu heat sink has gone which has caused the CPU to become unstable
2) The hard drive will need to be replaced

You will need to book the laptop into a reputable PC shop for repair

If this has been useful please leave positive feedback/vote

Dell D600 Battery Causes Screen to go Black

Laptop batteries normally just last for a few years, depending on usage. If your battery is almost done, it may report a 'full' status, but just have the capacity to feed your laptop for a few minutes.

You may check this by disconnecting current while your laptop is started up. If low battery capacity is the cause, the same will happen within a few minutes.

Laptops normally go in standby on low battery, to avoid data loss.

Battery Charge light flashing 4 red one green Dell Inspiron 9200

usually, its an indication that the battery is nearing the end of its useful life. you can try to use another battery to isolate it further. If the same thing happens with another battery, chances are, the mobo is failing. Flashing the BIOS can usually help with battery issues. If another battery works fine and your computer is within its first year since you bought it, you can request a replacement battery from Dell

Dell Latitude PPO1 laptop wont start

Hi,
If the laptop is not powering on either with the battery or the Ac adapter. Its a bad motherboard and would require repair. You can contact Dell Out of warranty repairs and they would give you an estimate of the same.

Thanks

Dell d600 latitude laptop

Hi

Dell Latitude D600 can only accommodate one internal hard drive. You can however install a 2nd Hard Drive as a drive module.

Check the picture below. The HDD Drive Module fits in in place of the CD/DVD Drive.

Let me know if further is needed.

Dell Latitude D600 Wont Start

I would suggest removing the battery, then try powering the unit on. Many laptops will not start if the battery voltage is too low. Many batteries will read a lower voltage than minimal when they are at or near the end of their service life.
