PC Not booting up

I bought a new Computer tower last week with these specifications:
Motherboard: Asus P5Q3 Deluxe
Processor : Intel Qual Q9550
Ram: 2x2 OCZ DDR3 1600MHz
Graphics Card:ATI EAH 4870X2
HDD:Seagate 500gb 7200
PSU:Thermaltake 700W

I went to vacation for 1 week when i came back and tried to start it it didnt boot or anything. No even a fan started to work, nothing happened.Like the Power button was not connected or there was no power(But the PowerLed was showing that there was power and inside the motherboard(that has 2 Leds)were also on.I opened the box checked all the power cables to Motherboard,Graphics card and HDD were in place.I also checked that Power button cable was connected to Motherboard. When i opened again the PSU i saw that the processor fan started to spin a little and stopped.I am out of ideas so do you think you can help me find out what seems to be the problem? Thanks in advance :>

Q9550 With Acer EQ35M MOBO

It is very likely that you simply do not have the right BIOS setup for the new processor. You will likely have to flash all your bios to get the new processor to both be recognized and to be able to recognize components on the motherboard. That is quite a jump in technology and it may be that the motherboard simply will not support the new processor period. In that case, be VERY careful buying your new board and make sure it specifically supports your processor. Sorry I could not be more help!

That Motherboard have a PCI-Express x16 so the 6970 will fit without problem, these are powerful cards so you should have a good PSU (powersupply)

ASUS P5Q3 with Xeon CPU

Yes, it will work. However it depends on which one you buy. Here's one that will work with that particular motherboard.

First, visit this website. Now search for, "Xeon" (Without the quotes, though). Click the second result on the list, which should be the, "Intel Xeon E3110 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E3110 - Retail." That processor is a 45NM LGA-775 processor, which Asus claims that motherboard can support 45NM LGA-775 processor.

Let me know if I can assist you further, or if I need to explain anything in more detail. If this solves your question, please rate the solution.
