You have a failing main circuit board, it will be cheaper to replace the TV than try and repair it.

Sounds like a transformer or choke that has loose windings and they are resonating, you can pull the back and put small amounts of silicone on those components or replace the power board

Actually someone would have to open set and power it up--try to locate area where sound here is coming from.

The first place would be in the power supply which will have a number of transformers (not giant ones) that can vibrate hard enough to make a high pitched buzz or sound.

If localized to a single board the board can be replaced but in our shop if we have narrowed it down to a single part--usually some hot glue on the offending part can remove the sound---issue is not usually one that will cause a failure but irritates people in the same room with the set.

Since the set will have to be opened first to see or in this case hear where the sound is coming from it may be repairable without replacing a board.

fans bearings are going bad. lube or replace the whole fan. it also could be powersupply, they make a high pitch squeal sometimes when going bad.

At high altitudes all plasma tvs will emit a high pitch noise.
There's nothing you can do about it besides move or get a new tv. Plasmas just do this.

It sound like you may have sound processor problem which is part of the main board, I would also look at the 12vdc from power supply to make sure it is clean DC.

replacement of the color wheel is an option.. as a technician i dont find replacement all that difficult. finding one too replace it with is the most problem...
