Connection to server failed phoned my bt said it was fixed 10th july

Your iPad can't change mail addresses You have to set up every mail account you want to use on the iPad. In settings choose mail and new. Then fill all boxes and press ok. The iPad then will check if you entered a correct mail address account and add the account unde your mail app.

I want to retrieve mail from inbox(mailbox) with include search also by using pop3 protocol. my coding was work properly but after sometimes messages are deleted in server. please tell one solution...

Are you looking for a way to avoid messages to be deleted from server and see messages only from that mail ID in your inbox or how program to retrieve mails from that mail ID only. If the first, you can set the account settings of your mail client and specify not to delete messages and to keep a copy of messages on the server by using the Advanced tab of the account setting on your mail client such as outlook express.

Can not receive my e-mail

You will need to check your email settings in your email client on your PC. In Outlook Express, under "tools" ->'accounts, choose your mail and select the "Properties" button. Check that your POP3 Server is set to the POP3 server of your Internet Provider. eg mail.yourisp.com. The port is 110. Make sure your user name and password are both correct. The mail server will (when set corectly) access its mail server and deliver your email. Of course you must already be connected to the Internet.

Since last night i have been unable to send any e-mails i have the free aol service

Have you unwittingly changed one of the settings regarding SMTP or other server settings on your Mail client, this would prevent you from sending mail.

If you can still recieve mail then this means that only the outgoing server is affected, so again check your SMTP configuration or phone AOL.

Using thunderbird mail program on lap top. can receive e-mail, but can not send e-mail on any public wi-fi connection. error message says can not connect to mail server on port 25.

most isp blocks port 25 for sending out mail that's the reason you cant send out mail, ask you wifi(ISP) smtp settings and you need to set it on your smtp server so you can send out mail using thier smtp as outgoing server.

OR ask you email provider about your webmail address and manually send out mail using the web interface of your email hosting.

btw have you try to change you smtp port to 587 sometimes it work.

I can't <send\receive> the mai in the window mail In the Tasks page said : Send4message(s) using ttyff failed

Most likely cause is the server settings are incorrect, it is very unlikely that a server is called ttyff.
mail servers are typically named
mail.ISPname.com
smtp.ISPname.com

The quickest way to confirm is to go to the mail service provider's mail setup web page, and ensure that the account settings are as specified. Servers both incoming and outgoing, and account names and passwords must be as specified

I have been using windows live mail for several months for two email accounts. My hotmail account works fine but for my second westnet account (www.westnet.com.au) i am able to recieve email but unable to...

G'day,

All of the documentation on the westnet.com.au site shows that your "Outgoing mail server" should be set to "mail.westnet.com.au", not "mail.wn.com.au". Please check both of your accounts in Windows Live.

If this doesn't fix your proble, could you please repost the settings for your two accounts so that I can compare them?

Need to reregister account, after pc went down. need e mail settings to set up outlook express in order to get e mails. please send settings to my daughters e mail address tracylisa@btinternet.com

Many service providers have a link on their page that will automatically configure Outlook Express to receive e-mail. I would suggest that the first place to look is the main page for your service provider (Optonline, Time-Warner, Verizon, whatever) and find the tab for "support" or Frequently Asked Questions. Type in "e-mail" at the search box, and you should see some answer listed for "setting up my e-mail account (on my computer, or something like that.) Specific wording depends on your service provider.
Then, most providers have a link you can click that will run a program to automatically set it up for you.
Here's a page from Verizon, which will give you an idea of the process:

Email cannot connect to your server. please give me current servers mine are onetel

You haven't given a description of your issue, but seem to have a some problem with email, and using onetel services. The following is from their site at http://support.onetel.co.uk/index.php?page=159. This should allow you to make sure your settings are appropriate.

Please find below the basic Onetel e-mail settings:

If your e-mail address ends in onetel.com:
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.onetel.com Port: 110
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.onetel.com Port: 25
  • Username: the first part of your e-mail address (everything before the @ sign)
  • Password: the password you chose when you registered the e-mail address with Onetel

If your e-mail address ends in onetel.net:

  • Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.onetel.net Port: 110
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.onetel.net Port: 25
  • Username: your full e-mail address
  • Password: the password you chose when you registered the e-mail address with Onetel
Additionally, http://support.onetel.co.uk/index.php?page=170 contains various information depending on the email software you utilize on your equipment, and indicates specific instruction for setting up accounts on each.

I trust one of these solutions will address your needs, but if not, or if you need further assistance, please post additional detail in reply. Thanks for rating FixYa!
