Too much vibration

From almost day one our washer has excessive vibration. We had Sears out and they couldn't do much about it. They are on the pedestals, not sure if that is causing the problem? All we ever hear is how great this washer is, but the vibration is driving us crazy. HELP!

mine vibrates so bad it knocks everything off the top and hits the walls and dug a hole in the floor. It is on a pedestal also. What did Sears say?

I have the same problem - the washer beats our house to death. I have had the service tech out 2 times and have had numerous discussions with the distributor. They told me after I bought it and after they delivered and set up the pair that they really are only made for rooms with concrete floors. I have watched all the adds and information and none of the commercials I have seen show the items sitting on a concrete floor. I have even gone to places that sell the washers as if I wanted to buy one and asked about vibration - they assured me there were no issues and the washers were fantastic. I would not recommend anyone buy one of these washers unless they are going to sit it on a concrete slab.

I have the same issue. Brand-new install - on level concrete slab with all feet firm - in my basement. Machine was checked with a level - both front-back and side-side. I had a wash running and went up to the second floor to get more clothes. I heard what sounded like automatic weapons fire. Ran down to the basement and found the washer/pedestal combo turned practically sideways from the violent shaking during high-speed spin.

My LG washer shakes as well. It already beat up the dryer! Its so annoying! Please help!!!!

We have the same issue. The machine will walk out of the laundry room if you don't keep an eye on it. The machine is on the second floor, leveled with a laser and is sitting on concrete backer board. I have given up and have donated it to my son's apartment which is on the ground floor. I hope he has better luck! We went back to Maytag appliances because the last set lasted 20 years while this LG fell from grace after 3 years.

I have had my LG washer since Feb 09 from day one it has been a problem it is not on a pedestal it is on concrete floor all legs are leveled and it still vibrates out of control I have tried placing it on slates, bricks, boards, etc. it still does not help it moves across the floor so rapidly that it has almost pulled the hose out of the wall this is this is exceptable and the store that I purchased from is telling me to call LG whom will not do anything about it. Please help I don't know what else to do but contact the BBB but I'm not sure if it should be on the store that I purchased or the LG company

First make sure the floor is leveled and sturdy enough to handle the machine.

How do you get the top of the cabinet off of a Sears heavy duty washer series 80, model #11092283800? It vibrates excessively w/o a load.

should be 2 screws in the control panel ,some panels you need to remove the end caps to remove them, then just flip the control panel back it has plastic hinges so be careful, then you unplug the lid switch, pop off the 2 gold clips holding the back panel to the housing.then just reach inside the lid tilt slightly towards you and lift off the frame.

I need to know where the balance spring to tub connects on a Kenmore washer model 110.27721600?

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.27721600

If you look at the section on "Machine Base Parts" you'll see a number of springs and vibration pads.

It's possible that one or more of the springs or pads has come loose or broken.

In order to get to them you have to remove the cabinet.

Here is a description of how to do it.

Also see the Whirlpool Service Manual for top load washers. It has a troubleshooting section that describes the reasons for excessive walking or vibration.

Following is also a Whirlpool PDF that has some diagrams of where the springs fit.$FILE/787772%20%234.pdf

Excessive drum vibration

Yes, look into trading in the Kenmore for one of only two manufacturers that employ a dynamic balance system built into the washer drum. Samsung and LG both use this dynamic balance system that balances the load while it is in motion. They also use a vibration sensing system to modify the time and speed of the spin cycles to minimize any vibration that might still be present. LG has this available on only their upper level models while Samsung's VRT is available on most all models. I believe that both of these manufacturer's are available from Sears.

Excessive vibration during spin cycle

Chck to see that all (6) suspension springs are still attached. Check the plastic snubber ring below the mechanism and above the base plate for cracks or contamination.
