After receiving a new phone after it fell in the water, and backing up my phone before this happened, I reinstalled my back up onto the new phone. Now I cant send or receive text messages. Everything else works.

Re: Cant send or receive text messages
Contact your network provider and ask for a sim update and a gprs install message, this will sort the problem, also you may need to change your message service cantre number, here are the following uk ones : Network operatorSMS Centre NumberO2 (Was BT Cellnet / Genie mobile)+447802000332 (contract) +447802092035 (pay as you go) Alt: +447802000334T-Mobile (was One2One)+447958879879Orange+447973100973 Alt: +447973100974Vodafone+447785016005Tesco Mobile+447802092035Virgin+4479588798903 / Three+447782000800

for sending text messages : 1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct 2. call to your network operator customer care 3. request the message center number... 4.note it down 5. go to message settings>message center number 6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
If it used to send/receive text messages and no longer does I recommend shutting off the phone, taking out the battery for a minute or two, then reinstall the battery and try again. I'm assuming your phone plan allows you to text, yes?
try rebooting your phone 2 to 3 times daily and deleting text and phone calls regularly. this may help your situation. rebooting is taking off battery waiting at least 15 seconds reinstalling battery and powering on... best bet is to delete items then reboot... your problem should go away. unless of course your messages are too large to be sent than that's a totally different issue
