Question about HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-In-One Printer
I have a L7680 that is connected to a network, it prints fine and is recognized, however, when trying to scan, it is not recognized and in the HP Support Center is listed as disconnected. If trying to scan from the front panel, the scan to a memory device and scan and reprint work, but scan to computer does not. What is the issue?
I've the same problem.
I've solved this problem by using Vuescan 8.5, this prog can scan using the scandriver from HP

I had the exact same problem.
Go to the HP website here: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
Enter your printer model # and select "Download Drivers and Software"
Select which operating system you are using, eg: Windows XP, Windows 7... etc.
Then select the basic Print and Scan Driver and download it.
It may take a while to download, but it should do the trick.
