Question about Neon GREEN PC POWER SUPPLY KIT Power Supply
I PICKED UP A NEON SIGN THAT WON'T LIGHT. THIS LIGHT HAS A POWER CORD AND THEN ANOTHER CORD OF WHICH I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT GOES. IS THERE A SUPPLEMENTAL POWER SOURCE THAT I NEED TO MAKE THE LIGHT WORK?
If It is actual Neon Tubing. It Takes a High Voltage Transformer to light the tube.
I work in a sign shop and we commonly use 8000, 12000, & 15000 volt transformers.
These types of transformers are like "Lightning In A Box". Unless you know what you are doing It could kill you! Any reputable sign shop should be able to give you a idea what you have for FREE, and the safest and cheapest way to get it working...
