This could be a problem with the disk or a permanent glitch with the game common with the elder scrolls series Or many games made by bethesda

I've had a similar problem where all the sounds in the game became echoed like if I was in a cave, even though I was in the middle of a city.

It's quite some time since I got it fixed, but I think what did it was to reinstall the game, cause then you get back all the default files and everything, and all the game settings should be default.

If you have any mods installed, you should back them up, or at least write down the names of them and re-download them so you don't lose them.

Possible defect in the CD, try attempting another disk. If that doesn't work, there is a potential chance it could be the Remote, unless this is the only game it happens to. Let me know how it goes.

F.Y.I. Get Fallout 3, A LOT better, great graphics as well, the only problem is, that it has the same water glitch as in, Oblivion...BTW also...same makers. <(^_^)>
