Having the mic on mute is not just a matter of unmutting for the live cam, please uninstall and reinstall it from your computer to solve the issue.

Numer of reasons. Your Mic may be muted. Unmute it in the Audio icon in the right bottom corner. The settings of your IM are incorrect. Set the Mic.

Microsoft vx-3000 won't work on MSN!!

What you can do is click the Sound Icon beside the Nudge Button. It might bring up a window titled "Set up Audio and Video - Speaker/Microphone or Speakerphone" the Microsoft Vx-3000 has a microphone built in, so you can change your audio settings to "Microsoft Vx-3000" , then click next. The next one is Webcam. You can change the default settings to Microsot vx-3000.

If you've tried changing your settings for MSN before, then I'm not sure. This is the clever way for me :P

Microsoft lifecam 1.4 does'nt respond

are you sure your microphone isn't muted?. Check your microphone volume setting by doing this:

Control panel > sounds and audio devices > click the audio tab across the top.

Under 'sound recording' , click volume. turn your volume up on the selected device. you may even need to change the selected device to the correct one. Play arround with that audio screen until you get it to work

Regards

Tony
