Sounds like you need to replace the cabin air filter. Here is a link to a page that shows you that this filter is located up under the dash behind the glove box. You do not need to remove the glove box. Just look up under. You will see it. Visit this web site. Dodge Grand Caravan cabin air filter location From year 2001 2002 2003...
You will need to inject a uv dye into the ac system with the freon, then look for the leak, you will have to wait, most likely until the ac starts showing signs that it is low, then you will need a uv light, and the glasses to find the leak, the red dye that is sold for this does not show up.
Replace the bad radiator hose first. Ā Second- get you special formulated anti-freeze dye from the auto store and pour it into the radiator. Ā Third- make sure you got all the air pockets out of your system, cause the coolant system won't work with air pockets in it. Ā Fourth- Check for leaks by looking for the colored dye. Ā If it's not the radiator hose, then could possibly be a pin hole in your radiator. Ā Would suggest replacing all the radiator hoses at the same time while you got the coolant system disconnected, cause you don't want to have to come back and replace another hose in a few months.
If you are loosing the freon you do have a leak.Your system will have to have a special dye shot into the system and then you need special glasses to see the dye.Ask a AC repair shop what they charge.
its probley leaking in the evaporator you cannot see it without removing the dash see if anyone that you know has a freon sniffer then lacated the drain tube for the evaporator case most of the time its located on the fire wall on the right lower area with a full charge use the sniffer and see if indicates a leak
You will have to have AC leak detector dye installed, system charged and then driven until it is low on charge again, and then location of leak pin-pointed with a black light, there are electronic leak detectors but the dye method is the best and most accurate.
