Question about LG 42LP1D 42 in. LCD HDTV
Hello everybody, I discovered this forum surfing the net to find a solution for a problem I have with a new 32" LG LCD TV.
When I use DVD player or VCR on AV1-2 input, regardless the aspect ratio I select, after 10 minutes or so the aspect ratio switches back to 16:9. I tried with 4:3, 14:9, Zoom 1 or 2, Original. In all cases after a few minutes it's on 16:9 again. It id annoying at best. It seems that there is an automatic aspect ratio setting up functionality, working in a slightly odd way. Anu suggestions?
Thanks in advance for cooperation.
I have an LG LCD TV with the same problem.
The solution is to go to
And select HOME rather than STORE on initial setup.
Mine was set to store as it was a display model.
That means that whatever picture setting you make they will reset after 10 minutes.

Yes,that fixed my problem,my son had switched to "store" mode thinking it would brighten up the picture, then the tv started switching to 16.9 mode for all channels, setting it back to home mode fixed the problem, thanks FixYa.
