I have inherited my father-in-law's Technics SL-MC4 60+1 disc player, but it did not come with a manual. I can get individual discs to play on random, but I can't figure out how to play multiple cds on full random mode. Can anyone help? Also, where can I get a copy of the manual?

Hello If a disc has been put in the slot of the disc in play, Remove the disc, whose number is displayed, and press stop button. Because of light or noise, the changer has detected a disc in the lot of the disc being played, even though it is empty. Check whether there is a disc in the displayed slot. With front panel closed, hold down "STOP " button for atl least four seconds or more.
Thats alot of disc this ubit holds. 110+1!! The CD changer arm mechanism sounds like is out of timming or the gears have slipped there teeth, and or the cam is broken, or theres a couple of small microswitches that can get broken as well.. The only way to work on this unit and see what the problem is, is to get a service manual and go through the mechanical alighnment and see where the problem is. Unless you can do a physical examination and know where every lob and gear is suppose to be, I do not see any other ways.
