I cannot clear paperjam for hp Officejet 5600 series. The paper is out but computer wont recognize it. How do I reset computer.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
No need to worry this happens a lot with this series.
HP have written a whole big article to resolve this issue, I'll suggest you go step by step, but if you are sure that you have cleaned the Paper Jam properly, then you can follow the instructions under Solution 4 directly. (Reset Method)
I hope you will resolve this issue yourself.

Paper logjam

There is a line of sensors along the paper path, if any of these are obscured by even the smallest scrap of paper you will get the messasge, re check the paper path again it only needs a scrap of paper, if you can spot any of the sensors give them a blow with some compressed air (paper dust build up), last but worth a try unplug for 2 minutes to allow residual power to drain and then try power up and see if the message has cleared

Printer says there is a paperjam when there is none

It's possible that a little piece of paper tore off and is wedged all the way to the right, and is hidden by the print heads. I saw this happen on a 3210. I don't recall how to move the heads to the left side, and I don't have access to the on line docs, because I'm trying to solve a problem with the driver right now, but check instructions for print head replacement.

Cannot get installation disk to open on hp officejet 6300 2000,xp cd version 7.0.5.

Here is a page with all of the software to download for your printer on Windows XP. You are also given the option to order a new CD if you prefer to do it that way.. I would recommend just downloading the driver as chances are the CD will not be free! Best of Luck
